I am a strong proponent of using video media as a platform for outreach. I was involved in the making of three documentary films for Fish Navy Films, two focused on whether aquaculture is a solution for imperiled fisheries and food security (Fish Meat and Raising Shrimp) and the other on the broad motivations as to why people fish (What We Fish For). These films have screened at a number of film festivals, including the prestigious Blue Ocean Film Festival, and are now available on YouTube.

with the Science Media Collaborative
I have collaborated with students at UMass Amherst via the Science Media Collaborative to produce video products for stakeholder groups and government agencies. Most notably is a series of short documentaries on the removal of small dams in Massachusetts, a collaboration with the Division of Ecological Restoration.

DER and partners removed two dams on the Shawsheen River in Andover to reduce flooding risk and provide more opportunities to enjoy this river.
